Tops on the list for Brian Nelson, 26, of Leesburg, is to upgrade to an electric toothbrush, Florida lottery officials said in a news release.
“I’m just looking forward to upgrading to an electric toothbrush and splurging on a good pair of flip flops,” Nelson told lottery officials on Tuesday in a news release.
Nelson traveled to Tallahassee to claim his prize with his fiancée of one month, Emily Pelton, WFTV reported.
Nelson bought a $20 Gold Rush Limited scratch-off ticket at a Quik Mart in Leesburg, lottery officials said. He chose to take his winnings in a one-time, lump-sum payment of $795,000, according to the news release.
That should help Nelson upgrade his toothbrush, and leave enough for toothpaste.
The Gold Rush Limited game features 32 top prizes of $5 million and 100 prizes of $1 million, according to the Florida Lottery.
